David Thomas

David's landscape paintings have a freshness and immediacy that recall the work of John Constable. He attaches great importance to drawing and painting from life in order to record the moment and capture atmosphere.

Having trained at the Ipswich School of Art he joined the Wolsey Theatre Company where he produced a number of acclaimed set designs. He now works free-lance, including designing productions for the Mercury Theatre in Colchester, as well as working on commissions for murals and painting landscapes.
