Colin Self

Colin Self was born in 1941 in Norwich and went to the Norwich School of Art before studying at the Slade.  During his time at the Slade he met fellow artists David Hockney and Peter Blake, and became one of the small group of artists in the 1960s that pioneered Pop Art.

Thirty years ago he returned to live and work in Norfolk. He is one of Britain’s leading painters, taking much of his inspiration from the changing nature of the Norfolk landscape. Colin has had over twenty 1-man exhibitions and his work can be found in major collections oround the world.
